We recently underwent a pretty serious website overhaul, and one of our favorite new site features is a much-improved shopping cart Event Cart. In this blog, we'll explain how to easily generate a quote using the Event Cart sharing feature.

What's an Event Cart?

An Event Cart is just like a regular shopping cart, but it is tied to a specific event and comes with features specifically designed to help busy events professionals keep organized. Both trade and consumer accounts can use Event Carts, but you must be logged in to use this feature. lf you haven’t done so already, create an SDPR account.

 Generate Quotes with Event Cart Sharing

You've curated all your rentals, and you want to send your client an itemized quote (plus make sure you haven't left anything out!). We have implemented a sharing feature within our Event Carts so you can easily send a PDF to one or more recipients. Here's a step-by-step guide to generating a quote from an Event Cart.

Step 1

In your Event Cart, start the checkout process by clicking the "CHECKOUT" button. Don't worry - this won't finalize your order yet.

Step 2

If you haven't already, enter your event information. Keep in mind that until you actually submit your order for review, you will be able to go back and make edits. 

Step 3

Next, enter your delivery and pickup info. Again, you can go back and edit this information later, so don't sweat it if it's not totally perfect yet.

Step 4

Once you enter your event info and delivery/pickup details, you'll be directed to the Review page. This is where you can share your event cart or download it as a PDF. Click "Share" on the right-hand side of the screen.

Step 5

On the "Share Event Information" page, use the drop-downs to select whether or not you want to include pricing, as well as whether or not you'd like to display each rental image. Lastly, enter up to 5 recipient email address and click "SEND EVENT INFORMATION."

It's that simple! Once you click the "SEND EVENT INFORMATION" button your recipients will receive an email with a PDF attachment of your Event Cart.

Quick Quote Shortcut

If you've already filled out all your event info and want to generate a quote quickly, here's a shortcut to the "Share Event Information" page.

Step 1

Click on your account drop-down and select "Event Carts."

Step 2

Choose which event cart you'd like to share, and click on the 3 dots on the right-hand side (#1) to reveal an actions drop-down. Select "Share" (#2).

Step 3

This will take your right to the "Share Event Information" page, just as described above. Again, this shortcut only applies if you've already filled out your event information.
